Neet note about lettuce from the garden

Limp Lettuce: Home grown lettuce is often too limp to go right from harvest to salad bowl. How to crisp it up? Wash in cold water, shake gently and refrigerate in a plastic bag for an hour before dinner.

I think I know the inspiration for this French sweet bread which actually originated in England so the legend goes...the inspiration for this wonderfully sweet, light and really pretty bread. They could have also named it Dawn til Dusk bread; not for the vampires but due to the 5+ hours it took to make it.
